Malaika Arora Khan was born to a Malayali mother and Punjabi father on 23 Oct 1973. After completing her formal education, when MTV was on its way to launch itself in India, Malaika was one of the VJ’s who got selected to be a host on MTV. After her small stint as an interviewer, MTV gave her the opportunity of co-anchoring with Cyrus Broacha, the popular programme Love Line and Style Check.
Following her growing popularity, Malaika Arora then appeared in many advertisements. She even got her first bollywood stint opposite Shahrukh Khan in a way of a song called Chaiyya Chaiyya from the film Dil Se and Maahi Ve in Kaante earned her the title of sex bomb. Till date she continues to do item songs and personally too enjoys doing it.
On a personal front, Malaika Arora is married to the Bollywood actor Arbaaz Khan.They are also proud parents of a son, Arhaan. Her sister Amrita Arora is also an bollywood actress, and her brothers-in-law are actors, Salman Khan and Sohail Khan.
